Members’ Profile

The Association offers three categories of membership : Associate Member A, Association Member B and Regular Members.

Regular Members

Regular members must meet the following conditions:

Place of business in Québec and an active representative in Québec;
Grain marketing, processing and handling in Québec, in Canada and internationally, as well as having appropriate physical infrastructures (silos, scales, etc.);
Securities dealer account recognized by the Autorité des marchés financiers (A.M.F.);
Volume of at least 500,000 tonnes of grain traded or processed annually;
Holding a license issued by the Régie des marchés agricoles et alimentaires du Québec under the Règlement sur la mise en marché des grains. Respecting this regulation is mandatory;
A membership written request must be presented to the Board of Directors, which has a discretionary power to accept or deny the applicant as a member, with no obligation to justify its decision. This request must be made using an application form provided for that purpose;
In good standing with the Association, meaning having paid the annual and special contributions, as defined and set by the Board of Directors.
Activities related at least in part to the grain trade. This category includes, but is not limited to, banking and financial institutions, or any other organization;

Associate Member A

Associate Member A must meet the following conditions :

Associate Member B

Associate Member B must meet the following conditions :

Place of business in Québec;
Activities related at least in part to the grain trade. This category includes, but is not limited to, banking and financial institutions, or any other organization;
Formulaire d’adhésion à l’Association des commerçants de grains du Québec complété;
A membership written request must be presented to the Board of Directors, which has a discretionary power to accept or deny the applicant as a member, with no obligation to justify its decision. This request must be made using an application form provided for that purpose;
In good standing with the Association, meaning having paid the annual and special contributions, as defined and set by the Board of Directors.

Application Form

To request an application form to l’Association des commerçants de grains du Québec, fill and return the form below. Someone will contact you for additional details. Then, the Board of Directors will consider your application and make a decision; it can exercise its discretion to accept or deny the membership request, without having to explain its decision.

Decision will then be forwarded, including an invoice for the membership fees if need be.
